K.S. Radhakrishnan (b. 1956) was born in Kottayam, Kerala, and attended the Kala Bhavan at the
Viswa-Bharati University, Santiniketan for his undergraduate and master’s degree. His training
under the legendary sculptor Ramkinker Baij and Sabari Roy Choudary encouraged exploring
dynamism of composition, and materiality in his practice. Dance, mythology, sensuality, the
notions of gender are integral to his dynamic practice. Continuing his connection to Santiniketan,
he lives and works in New Delhi.
