Karishma Wadhwa

Born and brought up in Chennai, the artist is a Mumbai-based professional practitioner with over sixteen years of experience. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts, a Diploma from the Institute of Fine Arts, and a Diploma in Fashion Design from the International Institute of Fashion Design, certified by Istituto di Moda Burgo, Italy. Her practice evolved from spiritually inspired figurative works, particularly early depictions of the Buddha, to expressive abstraction, with her recent focus on abstract cityscapes. Her notable series "OPUS" draws from her travels and explores the idea of home through layered structures, colours, and textures, inviting personal interpretation. She currently lives and works in Mumbai, where spirituality and self-discovery continue to inform her art.
