Naina Maithani

Naina Maithani is a self-taught Indian contemporary artist whose artistic journey began while managing and promoting an up-market art space in New Delhi, later shaped by travel and artistic interactions in India and Vietnam. Working primarily in abstraction, she translates landscapes, memories, and inner emotions into radiant compositions marked by layered textures, intuitive brushwork, and luminous colour fields infused with spirituality and a deep connection to nature. Her practice is recognised as an abstract travelogue inspired by places such as Dehradun, Hoi An, and Doha. Over the years, her works have been exhibited widely and are part of private and corporate collections across India, Europe, the UK, the USA, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the UAE, with a strong presence in auction histories. She currently lives and works in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, where the Himalayan landscape remains her primary source of inspiration.
