Avneet Chawla

Biography

Avneet Chawla is a Delhi-based contemporary artist whose meticulous ink-on-paper compositions contemplate the idea of infinity. Through the disciplined use of dots, lines, and subtle tonal shifts, she explores rhythm, repetition, and spatial expansion, constructing meditative surfaces that oscillate between stillness and movement. Her works resemble delicate constellations, inviting viewers to reflect on the dialogue between the boundless and the contained. Trained as a diamond grader and jewellery designer, Avneet brings a refined sensitivity to precision, light, and detail, qualities that distinctly inform her artistic language.

She is a recipient of the Kalanand Grant from the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation (2024) and has been recognised at the All India Art Competition and Exhibition (2023), as well as the 93rd and 94th Annual All India Art Exhibitions (2022). Her solo show Peaky Blinders was held at Triveni Gallery, New Delhi, in 2023. Her works have also appeared in Hessink's The Indian Modern & Contemporary Art Auction in the Netherlands (2023), and she has exhibited with prominent institutions and galleries including Art Heritage, Art Incept, Art Positive, CIMA, Birla Academy, Bombay Art Society, and Shridharani Gallery.
