Jogen Chowdhury is a leading Indian contemporary painter, known for his instantly recognisable style of sinuous, cross-hatched lines and exaggerated human forms. Trained in Kolkata and Paris, he blends folk motifs with modern art to create deeply poetic, often witty commentaries on life. A former Rajya Sabha member, he remains a towering figure in Indian art.
